Be Unique. Be Memorable. Be Authentic. These elements encapsulate brand identity and to ensure that the target customer sees this consistency is key across all marketing platforms.

Overall Concept - “Hollywood’s Manufactured Beauty”

Timeless designs with major inspiration from the original Hollywood stars, who depict the “natural beauty” women have always aspired to be like. The primary inspiration was gathered from The Met Museum and Vintage Dior Gowns.

Secondary Inspiration. From Shape to Skin to Accessorising, Old Hollywood held high body and beauty standards. “Jessica Rabbit” proportions were the ideal body standards. high cheekbones, small waist, wide hips and butt, skinny arms, flat stomach, and large breasts are what is now seen as the “ideal” body. Not quite different from what is known as the ideal standards of the current era. Being an Innovative designer who has worked with 3D printing in her spare time, this is also an element I wish to incorporate into this multi-wear occasion wear range.

Things to consider when tracing - Curvature, Rib Removal, Internal Destruction, Wide Hourglass Shape, Muscle/Bone

Defining your overall aesthetic is imperative to creating a successful visual identity. For Golden Thorns this is Clean, Elegant, Sophisticated but with tough of Alternative Grunge. Your Visual Aesthetic should help you stand out from the market. A deep understanding of the way your competitors market their business can also be incredibly helpful in ensuring you are not copying another brand. Finding a unique visual element will help your brand be recognizable and memorable. The 3D grunge element on the fairly feminine garments is what separates Golden Thorns from the competition, in addition to this the greyscale colour palette with the true gold accents are also everywhere in their marketing to create differentiation to similar brands.
