This range has had a rocky start. With injuries, illness and mental hardships producing this garment have not been an easy road to take. However, throughout the weeks there have been toiles being made every few weeks.

19th April: Commencing creation

Started the design with a menswear garment due to the better "oversized" fit it gives cinched at the waist. Just a simple toile, that is full length and allows alterations on how the front opening will lay.

21st April - Slight alterations.

This Thursday was the day on which alterations were marked on the first toile, then transferred to the pattern, and then a second toile was drafted. the alterations were:

* lengthening the armholes for a more exaggerated look

* moving the opening more over the middle left bust point

*adjusting the lapels

26th April - Adding Flare

Continued altering this day. beginning with sinching in the waist to a more slim fitted silhouette, then adding more flare to the hem so the fall is exquisite. a test of how much will be taken out of the cf was also analysed to see how much of the pants I want to show.

10th May - Inspiration Hit!

with the fit and flare added it was easy to envision the final garment. This sparked some inspiration to mess around with what she will be wearing underneath. Some gold stretch velour was on the front table which gave the idea of using something like this to drape a gold "armor" like corset underneath.

24th May - Things are taking shape

Third Toile created it is finally looking like the final project. the flow when walking looks great and the gold underneath is an amazing vision for the eyes. On the 25th the next day i cut out all my toiles to create the final toiles.

31st May - Final touches

Final Toile assessment, analysing, and doing the final touches to the pattern to start pattern making on Thursday.
